A Chance is All They Need
Opportunity, it is something that everyone wants. The chance to
succeed and make something of themselves. Giving
opportunities to those who otherwise couldn't succeed in life gives them a
chance to make something of themselves, get out of a bad home environment, and
give purpose to something they are really passionate about. Not everyone is
blessed to have to same background or upbringing as the next person, so giving
children and young adults the extra boost they need to make it on their own,
can really change their life.
All people hear
now a days is how important is it to be rich and successful, but what they
don’t tell them is how many tools you really need to get there and how hard it
is to do it all on their own. Luckily they don’t always have to. There are so
many organizations now a days that deal with just that, helping underprivileged
kids acquire the tools needed to make it on their own and succeed in todays
world. Some that are widely known throughout the world are the “New Look”
organization which was started up by Usher Raymond IV in 1999
(www.ushersnewlook.org), UNICEF which makes sure each child has an equal
opportunity to an education (www.unicefusa.org), and Save the children which stands for equality when it comes
to education, just as the other two (www.savethechildren.org).
Everyone
deserves the right to be heard.
Everyone has the
potential to make something of themselves.
Everyone can
accomplish anything they set their minds to.
Everyone should
have someone cheering them on, having their back.
Everyone needs
to be told that they are capable of great things.
Everyone has the
right to success.
Usher has
completely taken this issue and ran with it. He has started up a “New Look”
Organization that does exactly what these children need. He provides categories
of different tools with anything and everything that any child could possibly
need in order to succeed and find jobs (www.ushersnewlook.org). Not only him,
but his entire organization spends their time making a difference in the lives
of so many kids. Thanks to him thousands of kids have been given the tools to
find jobs, further their education, and advance to leadership positions. Every
human deserves this right and now thanks to him, has the chance to make
something of themselves. As one united country we owe each other the right to
get of our couches and join them in the movement to provide children with the
education they need to get jobs, and to make a foundation for a long, stable
life that lies ahead of them.

This is awesome! I agree, everyone deserves the chance to be successful and have the necessary opportunities and resources to do so. I love that all the organizations you spoke of are reaching out to underprivileged children, because it gives them the opportunity to change; the opportunity to be the first in their family to set an example and be a provider.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a great perspective on what it takes to be successful. You have great evidence to back up your claims as far as stating certain organizations go. I would suggest providing an example to the public of someone who had benefited from either of these organizations.
